We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.
Our collection, use, and disclosure of Student Data are governed by our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use and also by the provision of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and applicable state laws that relate to the collection of Student Data. We do not knowingly collect, maintain or use personal data from children under the age of 13, unless in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we discover that we have unknowingly collected such information we will take all reasonable steps to promptly delete such information in our possession as soon as possible. Codecraft Works shall not use Student Data for any purposes other than those authorized pursuant to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
What information does Codecraft Works collect from Students?
Codecraft may also survey to provide us with optional demographic information (such as gender, age, ethnicity), to better understand and serve a diverse User base.
Students participating in a Teacher/Instructor supervised virtual classroom can send text based messages to their respective Teacher/Instructor. Message content will be visible to the virtual classroom teacher and are not accessed by Codecraft for any purpose other than educational purposes. All messages will be deleted after 2 hours of class inactivity or manually reset by the Teacher/Instructor.
Information We Do NOT Collect
Codecraft Works does not directly collect or store payment instruments. Purchases from the Codecraft Works are processed via Stripe. Contact https://codecraftworks.com ⎋ with questions about information collected and stored on the Stripe severs.
Exceptions case when we collect email address
When a User contacts us via our customer support, we will store and use their email address in order to respond to them.
Limited Access to Codecraft Employees and Authorized Third Party
Codecraft Work’s officers, directors, employees, contractors must have appropriate reason (related to programming education, scholarship support, school group administration) to access Personal Information you provide to Codecraft Works, for example to assist in supporting a local school group, programming workshop. Codecraft Works will require officers, directors, employees, contractors to comply with this Privacy Policy.
Data Retention Policy
Codecraft Works will not store the student email address. Only one way hash version will be stored. Codecraft will receive a student email address which will be used to send them a password reset link. 360 days of inactive Codecraft account status the personal information will be deleted. If we do not receive parental consent within a reasonable time, we will delete the parent contact information and any other information collected from the child in connection with that activity.
Student Academic Data from School Districts
School district agreement for evaluation of effectiveness of the Codecraft Works Program.
To measure codecraft programs, evaluation can be done in selected partner school district. The data from the School Districts must be de-identified respecting compliance with all applicable Federal and local laws.
Sharing or Transferring Data
We share limited student data with teacher and limited Teacher information with the Student. If a Student belongs to a Teacher’s classroom, we will share Student account information, course progress, and standalone projects with that Teacher so the Teacher can help manage the Student’s progress. The Student will also see limited information about their Teacher including their Teacher’s display name and classroom information.
Third Party Authentication Services
When Users sign up into Codecraft platform, Codecraft permits you to register an account for the Services through third party social networking services, such as Google (“Authentication Service”). By registering for the Services using an Authentication Service, you agree that Codecraft may access your account information from the Authentication Service. You are solely responsible for your interactions with the Authentication Service.
If Teacher/Educator/School Administrator creates an account in Codecraft through an Authentication service such as Google Accounts, Microsoft Accounts, you give Codecraft Works permission to store and use information already associated with your Authentication Service.
Children Under Age 13
Codecraft courses are designed to be used by Users of all ages, including children under the age of 13 with the involvement of and pre-authorization by their school, teacher, parent or legal guardian. To use features that involve uploading custom media files, we obtain prior consent from the Student’s teacher, authorized school representative, or, in some cases, the parent or legal guardian.
If Codecraft has inadvertently collected Personal Information or Persistent Identifiers from children under the age of 13 without prior parental or teacher consent appropriate steps will be taken to delete this information. Teacher, parent or legal guardian of a Student can ask us via email to https://codecraftworks.com to deactivate the Student’s account, delete any hashed email address, collected Personal Identifiable Information. We may verify your identity and your relationship with the Student.

Data Security
We employ data security tools to protect Personal Information. Unfortunately, even with these measures, we cannot guarantee the security of PI. By using our Website, you acknowledge and agree that we make no such guarantee, and that you use our Website at your own risk. To access information on our Website, you will need an Internet browser that supports the use of a technology known as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. This is industry-standard encryption technology that helps us ensure the authenticity of your online sessions and secure data being transmitted through the use of the public Internet.

Usage Data
We may also collect information regarding how the Service is accessed and used (“Usage Data”). To assess the learning platform technical information from browser or device, standard log files, web beacons, or pixel tags. IP address, the type of browser, ISP, web pages, date and login time, users visit the website will be gathered to provide a personalized learning and high quality experience. This information assists us in understanding how our users are using our website.
